What is your earliest memory?

In the first interview, the subject could not remember her earliest memory.

In the second interview, the subject said her first memory was of her mother arriving home from the doctor’s office, dismayed that she was pregnant with her third child; since she had just had her first (the subject) and second children so recently.

How did you feel about your mother?

In the first interview, the subject said she did not remember her mother very well. The subject supposed that her mother was a kind woman who was always cooking.

In the second interview, the subject recounted the numerous torture sessions her mother put her through. She looked forward to these sessions;, since otherwise, the mother was busy running her establishment, and left the care of the younger children to the subject. The subject’s mother refused to let her cook, calling her to incompetent and too clumsy to be trusted with such matters.

How did you feel about your father?

In the first interview, the subject said her birth father was always at sea and then died when she was seven, so she does not remember him well. She remembers her stepfather quite well. He introduced the subject to the Jellied Watchers faith. And though she reconverted to Catholicism, she loves his tales of the Elder Ones asleep in the ocean floor waiting to wake up. The subject then took a great amount of time decrying the “blasphemous” stories of H. P. Lovecraft.

In the second interview, the subject confirmed that she did not remember her birth father very well. The subject did recall that one time with her stepfather, she woke up to see him masturbating over her, but he told her she was just dreaming. However, he then left physical evidence that it was not a dream.

When did you realize you were a little girl?

In the first interview, the subject said learned about it from her uncle, her stepfather's younger brother who lived with them because his battle fatigue meant he could not live on his own. The subject and her uncle were discussing World War I and she said she would like to be in the army. The uncle told the subject that girls could not be in the army, and the subject cried. When asked why the subject did not join the Women’s Auxiliary Corp, the subject said she wanted to be in World War I, not World War II. The subject considers the former to be more romantic and poetical than the latter, as she put in many words.

In the second interview, the subject recalled her birth father complaining that having a daughter was a burden and realized she was a daughter.

What did you think of boys growing up?

In the first interview, the subject said she did not spend much time around boys who were not related to her while growing up. The subject did not participate in extra-curricular activities in school, and went straight home after school to help out her family and do her homework. The subject did not even have female friends. The subject did not date until she attended college and met her future husband.

In the second interview, the subject recalled spying on her brothers, stepbrothers, and the male tenants in their private moments, along with the uncle.

What is your earliest sexual memory?

In the first interview, the subject could not recall her earliest sexual memory.
In the second interview, the subject recalled masturbating. and her mother discovered her and beat her with a kitchen spoon.
How did you learn about sex?

In the first interview, the subject could not recall how she learned about sex.

In the second interview, the subject recalled seeing a male tenant bring a prostitute into his room and the subject watched them have sex. She told her mother and the tenant was evicted.

When did you first learn about homosexuality?

In the first interview, the subject recalled that when she was thirteen years old, her veteran uncle told her he was a homosexual. The subject’s uncle had an affair with his fellow soldier who was killed in the Battles of the Meuse–Argonne. The subject’s uncle was glad he had battle fatigue, since it meant people assumed that is why he never married.

In the second interview, the subject admitted to having erotic feelings for her uncle. The subject said her uncle said she was a lot like the fellow soldier he loved. The subject said her uncle was a lot like Mr. Twelve.

What were your sexual fantasies as a teen-ager?

In the first interview, the subject said she used to fantasize about going back in time and disguising herself as a man and fighting in World War I1. The subject would seduce a fellow soldier before dying the next day when they all went “over the Top”.

In the second interview, the subject said she used to fantasize specifically about being the young soldier her uncle fell in love with.

How did you lose your virginity?

In the first interview, the subject said when she was in Radcliffe College, she went to her future husband’s apartment. He was the Teaching Fellow in the political science class she was taking and he wanted to listen to her read her poetry. After one poem, he broke down crying because it reminded him of his former girlfriend who died of suicide. They decide to get drunk together and one thing led to another. The subject does not remember the actual sex well. The subject became pregnant and married him. The subject said she does not regret going to his apartment, though it was not a “good girl” thing to do.

In the second interview, the subject only recalled her future husband saying, “Now I’m set.”

What do you think about when you touch yourself?

In the first interview, the subject said she masturbated to fantasies of being Saint Sebastian, shot with arrows, and Saint Lawrence, burning on the gridiron, along with fantasies of Lawrence of Arabia being whipped by a Turk.

In the second interview, the subject confessed to fantasies of reciting her erotic poetry in private to Mr. Twelve before making love to him.

How do you feel about your parents now?

In the first interview, the subject said her mother is now widowed for a second time. The family has discussed having the mother move into the subject’s house, but the subject’s husband does not want that. The subject says her mother would not be able to deal with the culture shock of moving to the South.

In the second interview, the subject confessed to fantasies of having her mother move in and feeding her a wonderful home-cooked meal full of poison.

Do you feel you married the right person?

In the first interview, the subject said, even though she wished she could have graduated from Radcliffe College, she does not regret meeting and marrying her husband. The subject said her husband was a loving and supportive man who understands her on a deep level. The subject’s husband is also very talented at cunnilingus and occasional erotic torture.

In the second interview, the subject said that since meeting Mr. Twelve, she wishes she was married to him. Though Mrs. Twelve says she is “a bohemian”, the subject is still unsure whether she should pursue this husband.

Do you ever wish you were the husband?

In the first interview, the subject said she is already doing all of the writing for her husband, including the essays he has submitted to academic journals, down to writing his curriculum. The subject often does not have time for her own writing, except in the summer. The subject said it is worth it to have such a loving, supportive, and handsome husband. The subject said one day, her husband will be Secretary of State.

In the second interview, the subject said she wishes she were a professor like her husband. She wishes she were making speeches about literature to students instead of just writing lecture for her husband. If she had not gotten pregnant in college, she might be doing that.
