  • Joy at the chance to go to the self-improvement seminar that could cure my addiction to gambling.
  • Guilt that I am not turning to the Church for help with my gambling.

  • Guilt that I am turning to a Lutheran for help.
  • Annoyance at Virginia and Tony arguing over who gets the television again.
  • Guilt that I wanted us to buy a television.
  • Urge to find out how the Dodgers and Giants game ended.
  • Point: Being in God’s creation might help me recover.
  • Joy that I might be cured of my problems.
  • God created scientists so that we could be cured of smallpox and polio.
  • Childcare and Jerry’s[3] fees will be paid for.
  • Question: Should I go to this seminar? Hopefully the answer is yes.
