Found in Three’s combination “Poetry and Memo” notebook, dated February 12, 1953:
The haunting melody of suburbia

The married virgin gambles her life away, [1]
Her husband does not understand.
Stolen from her bassinet,
Is this part of God’s plan?
The moth from West Virginia, [2]
Instead of light she seeks dark,

But can he demand her heart?
The Samurai’s wife turns east [3]
Her duty in that land is done.
