One: I am the patriotic, faithful, Catholic wife to a rising politician, and my favorite color is pink.
Two: I am a clown. My favorite color is the rainbow.
One: You have to pick one color. You can’t say your favorite color is all of them.
Two: Are you the color cops? Why didn’t you turn on your siren? What’s the ruling on this?
Two: Okay, my favorite color is purple.
Three: I am the wielder of words, crying out from the wilderness of the world. My favorite color is green.
Four: I am the wife of a Samurai. My favorite color is navy blue.
Five: Say, Miss Fisher, are you going to participate?
Five: Oh, that’s a very good answer. Like a Zen koan, right Joan?
Four: It could be one.
Five: Okay, my turn. I am a world traveler, searching for peace. My favorite color is red.
Six: I am a cowboy. I mean, cowgirl. My favorite color is indigo.
Seven: I am a former nun who decided to be a wife. My favorite color is white.
Eight: I am a gardener. My favorite color is, well, rose.
Nine: I am a lover of music, among other things, but mostly a lover of Negro music, like jazz and spirituals. I like every genre except Wagner. My favorite color is black.
Ten: I am … ah … well … I do not know how to answer.
Ten: Yes, Miss Fisher. I am a robot.
One: You are not a robot. You are a human being. You aren’t the clown, so I don’t know why you are giving a clown answer.
Two: No, I think she is pretty robot. Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto, right Joan?
Four: She has informed me she has the kokoro of an automaton and I agree with her. She does not have the kokoro of a mere woman. Also, that is not how you pronounce domo arigato.
Two: Huh, so it is a Japanese phrase.
Four: Yes. It means "thank you very much". Why did you say it if you did not know what it meant?
Two: I told you, I just get these flashes of jokes from the future sometime.
Four: That still does not explain the foolishness that you say.
Ten: Yes, I am a robot. My color is gray.
Eleven: My turn? I am a puppeteer on the television show OK Boomer, and my favorite color is turquoise.
Twelve: Huh, I’m last? I am a housewife who really loves movies. My favorite color is orange.
One: Humph. What an ugly color.
