Happy Homestuck Day 2026!

It is a seventeen year anniversary of the beginning of Homestuck! Though SHNV is not a Homestuck fanfic and the Twelve Housewives do not correspond with the Twelve Trolls, I do feel I owe my origin to Andrew Hussie's webcomic.

SHNV is the spiritual sequel to a Homestuck fanfic called The Alternian Candidate. The plot of that story is different, in that it's about a Korean War soldier brainwashed by the Soviets to assassinate (as in novel/movies The Manchurian Candidate) and so are most of the characters, but the setting and themes are very similar.
